Description
The Remo Powerstroke P3 Fiberskyn Diplomat is a responsive drumhead, with a nice amount of midrange warmth thanks to the synthetic fiber coating.
This drumhead is made with a single ply of 7.5mil film, a 3mil polyspun fiber laminated top coating, and a 2mil inlay ring. The top coating is designed to have the look, sound, and feel of calfskin, which gives a nice boost to the midrange and low-end frequencies. The result is quite a warm sound for such a thin drumhead.
The P3 Fiberskyn Diplomat has a moderate sustain, which is controlled by the inlay ring. Overtones are also reduced by the inlay ring, as well as the fiber coating. This drumhead is excellent for light and moderate playing, both live and in the studio.
Compared to the Powerstroke P3 Fiberskyn Ambassador, the Diplomat version is slightly brighter, more open, and more sensitive.
